Hastings Independent Press

I am truly loving my fortnightly spot in the Hastings Indepenent Press, it feels sooo amazing to be writing in this capacity and I feel like I’m getting my brain cells moving again which is wonderful!

I studied English at uni then went on to study for an MA in English Studies. It was really challenging as I was also working full-time throughout most of this period.

I loved writing essays (said no-one, ever!), jokes. I loved it and with it being before the advent of the internet, I can remember reading a thousand books (that’s what it felt like sometimes), as part of my research.

The lovely part about writing recipes and for the newspaper is that I get to be creative. I love words and I love food – the perfect duo of ingredients.

I’m just going to put this out there to the universe as it’s been a dream for a while; I’ve just got to take the leap and make it happen.

Here goes – I would truly love to write/create/self-publish my own book that encapsulates the essence of Holly’s Wholesome Kitchen, I would like it to inspire and encourage and it will be filled with love, recipes and it will spread joy…..

Anyway, it’s our there as the written word now, not just a jumble of thoughts in my head.

If you’d like to see my recipes, go grab yourselves a copy of the HIP. It’s a cracker!

Lots and lots of love,

Holly xxx
