This is my amazing, skin-clearing, gut-calming tonic and it really is the best thing for many types of skin issues.
I’m not a trained nutritional therapist (yet), but I do have quite a bit of experience with all things skin. My skin has been ‘tricky’ over the years and roughly 7 years ago I went through quite a nasty steroid cream withdrawal.
Having spent lots of money trying-out the newest lotions and potions and after a bout of Roaccutane, I decided to treat my symptoms from within rather than trying to subdue and mask them.
I won’t go into the ins and outs of steroid withdrawal here, (you can take a look on my The Skin I’m In blog which was written 6 months post-withdrawal). In it I document how I got through the process and the things that helped me.
By fuelling and nourishing my body with beautiful, healing foods, my skin became strong, healthy and a started to smile again.
This tonic recipe is wonderful for feeding the good guys in our gut. It restores, balances and encourages the good flora to flourish; much like we do when our gut meadow is in harmony.
You will need:
Fresh lemon juice, fresh mint leaves, 1 x drop of organic oregano oil, a sprig of fresh thyme, filtered water, half a ripe mango.
Simply blend and serve over filtered ice cubes. Fresh mint garnish for decoration in totally necessary :)))
One of these per day along with 2 extra litres of filtered water will do absolute wonders for your body and mind! Give it a whirl, you will see the benefits in no time at all.
