Happy (Blue) Monday to you! I hope you had a good weekend. With January feeling like the longest month of the year, it can be tricky sometimes to negotiate our way through the rough terrain we are faced with. There are happy days and not-so-happy days (and this is ok); there’s no light without shade as it’s how we deal with the challenges that really matter.
We have to remember that we’re all in this together and no-one should EVER feel like they’re alone. We can reach-out if we are struggling and as humans, we must help-our those who are in need (as best we can). With life being so busy, it can feel like we have little time for ourselves, let alone others but by lending a helping-hand or boosting someone up when they are feeling blue will actually cause our lives to expand.
With this in mind, I wanted to share with you my 10 Top Tips I implement whenever I need to to help me feel sparkly and to bring glitter and shining happiness back into my life. It takes work to be happy and courage to face our fears but when we establish a routine, it becomes much easier:
1. Go for a walk.
2. Eat your favourite food.
3. Watch your favourite movie for the umpteenth time.
4. Buy yourself some flowers.
6. Take a long, hot bath.
8. Call your bestie.
9. Get your red lippy on!
10. Don’t be too hard on yourself.
In increments, these little steps will amount to great things! So, take your time, be bold, be brave and most importantly, be YOURSELF.
