I don’t know about you but this time of year, my skin tends to be quite sensitive to the cold (and central-heating). The philosophy of Holly’s Wholesome Kitchen is based upon the importance of nourishing the body with nutritious, wholesome ingredients so that we crack-on with life with as much gusto as possible.
During certain seasons of the year however, especially as one flows in to the next, our bodies require a bit of extra tlc.
My Skin-clearing Tonic not only nourishes and hydrates the skin, it also bolsters the immune system. It is crammed full of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory vitamins, all of which fortify the body this enabling it to weather the chilly winds and icy temperatures.
To make my Skin-clearing Tonic, you will need; pomegranate, passionfruit, banana, pineapple, coconut water, almonds and ice. Blend until smooth then add an extra glug of chilled coconut water.

I recently stepped up my skincare routine. So this smoothie is something I’ll definitely try. I’ll look up the benefits of the ingredients. Holly, your blog name pulled me in; and I think I’ll be spending quite a bit of time here! Happy New Year.
