I am looking forward to getting my laughing gear around this gem of a smoothie in the morning. It is creamy, bursting with flavour and it happens to be insanely delicious to boot. I added a teaspoon of Maca powder to make it extra magical and the raw cacao nibs give it an extra hit of superfood, healing power!
To make this beautiful blend, you will need; 10 x strawberries, a handful of almonds, a few blueberries, 1 x banana, a good glug of Vitacoco coconut water and 3 tablespoons of coconut milk. Blend until smooth and creamy and serve over crushed ice.
It is important to balance the fruit content (Fructose) of this smoothie with a protein element (almonds), to ensure that blood-sugar levels do not spike. The aim of the game with every meal is to keep blood-sugars consistent and a balanced meal, in which ever form it comes, is paramount to the maintenance of this.
